Maybe already posted, but 790 reported Watson had reps with first team today.

Is that news? Surprised it hadn't already happened.

I'm not sure it is really. He basically had most of the first team on the field when he came into the game last week. No matter what though, it's certainly not a bad thing for him to be acquainted with the starters because Savage has to be feeling the pressure right now. He'll have to come out and have a good performance this weekend against a weak Saints defense or Watson legitimately could pass him up.

Has BOB even said if this is an open competition? Or, has he just danced around that issue?

Patrick Starr and McClain said it recently, before the first preseason game

Like most coaches, he will dance as long as possible. No need to stir anything up with words.

That's even more reason to believe Watson has caught up to Savage.

Yesterday it was confirmed they were having Watson work with the first team offense. Looks promising

He's always the fan of the worst QB in camp. Remember he wanted Mallet to start.

Lmao yeah I see that. My buddy who suggested this site to me warned me about @Bobbythegreat. His sports takes are by far the most annoying on here.

The coach seems to have a different idea for his QB after seeing more plays from both QBs. Importantly, he saw our poll numbers from cultchfans, a chance of Watson to be a starter is getting better in each day. Can I change my vote right now? HaHa, I am getting more exciting for this team right now.

Well that would be true other than the fact we're playing the patriots not the saints. Good try though lmao

I'm still leaning towards Savage for the first 4-6 games. But leaning is not enough for me to cast a vote.

Ah the Saints are the 3rd game then right? Either way, the point remains.
