I think Savage gets one more game--Bengals this Thurs--to show out, or else.

If I had my wish, we go get an offensive coordinator this season who can adjust the playcalling. BoB cannot adjust on the fly.

As I said from day 1, savages shortcomings almost garaunteed Watson the starting job sooner rather than later. I still don't understand how everyone didn't see this coming.

The real question is why didn't Bill O'Brien see it coming?? He had to have noticed this throughout training camp, yet he continued beating the "Savage is our starter" drum. Why go through that charade?

It's going to be a crazy carousel.

I wouldn't be surprised to see the starter benched again at halftime.

Speculation, but I do think a ton of guys didnt go hard during preseason. Guys on defense shouldve blasted some of these chumps on offense during practice sessions. Allen doesnt deserve to be a starter in any league, especially after his performance yesterday. Combine with a lack of talent with Lamm, Clark, and Sua (cant believe we picked him before Derek Carr) Filo...Holding reservations on Martin and Giacomini...

Rick Smith better be calling every damn person in the league about getting OLine help...Everyone on this roster should be available...regardless of potential worth.

Finally, I think we really should go back to Savage as the starter this week. He really needs a redemption look. Too bad we get to face an angry Bengals team who failed to score ANYTHING at their house.

Exactly. It's a scary thought. He couldn't have handled It worse. If you thought there was a chance this would happen, why not give Watson more time with the 1's during the pre season? The absolute worst thing to do is take a hard line with savage, and then proceed to take him out after 1 half?! He has made a series of awful decisions. I hope he swallows his pride and sticks with Watson, and if he doesn't, he better give savage several games.

    Definitely not everyone.

Somehow people still feel he deserves a second chance. See above. ^^^

Maybe he's a better QB than WR. ;)

Looks like another Rick Smith/Billy O'Brien special.

"He's not a wide receiver! He's an OW - offensive weapon! Love the pick!" ... said everyone.

I don't want Watson to get hurt but at the same time i want in game experienced developed by Watson. Texans need to pay Duane Brown for starters.

Yeah it's pretty clear to anyone unbiased who knows what they are seeing when they watch football that Savage wasn't the problem. Hell he probably played better than anyone else on the roster honestly he just didn't have any help whatsoever.

Switching QBs should be no big deal. These are grown men playing a silly game, it's not rocket science. Coaches should do what they gotta do and tell everyone to get over it.

The only reason it's a "big deal" is that it's yet another sign of incompetence from Bill O'Brien. It's pretty clear he doesn't have any clue what he's doing.

Savage apologist but I'm scratching my head wondering why folks are trying so hard to defend him. He's a nobody, never done anything. He doesn't deserve such passionate defending. It's crazy.
