I agree that Royce is actually an even better passer than LBJ, but he is now where near the athlete. LeBron has the quickness to guard quick point guards, whereas I doubt Royce can guard most sfs. LeBron also has a 44 inch vertical... Royce is rather unathletic for an NBA player, whereas LeBron is the MOST athletic in the NBA.

    2012 White = Lebron

    2011 Morris = Carmelo

If these guys just become role players, that's a success.

Thank you, LBJ is like a Hakeem speed, his own weird shot, Jordan smarts, and Kobe quickness, with Dr. J leaps! C'mon guys

You're absolutely right, he is more like Magic Johnson.

I haven't watched Royce White play yet.

Is his style more like LeBron or Boris Diaw? He seems more like short post player with good dribbling and passing skills. Is that not accurate?

Or, maybe Ron Artest with better passing/dribbling but not the same defense?

He is a SF-PF tweener. Hopefully, White can back up Parsons at SF since we seem to have a glut at PF.

You guys don't know **** about Royce he could be a steal or he could be a JAG we won't know until the lights come on. I hope he doesn't have one good pre season game and I see a flood of posts about how he needs a max deal.

This is why rocket fans are always disappointed smh.. The expectations some yall put on players is just unrealistic. Royce is good passer that has decent handles.

You need to watch him. He's a unique talent. I didn't start the thread to get you to believe he would be like or as good as Lebron. I was simply watching Lebron make plays and I thought about Royce's playmaking ability, handle, and similar size. Royce has way more game than Boris with his ability to face up, handle right into the teeth of the defense and make a play. Boris is a good passer but he doesn't have the same handle and playmaking ability.

    You need to watch Royce.

I always figured he'd be, at his peak, a 6th man for a contending team. I can see him winning that award in his career.

Wasn't Anthony Mason the player he was being compared to?

Ah, gotcha. That's why I was getting that sense of him being a great player off the bench.

Royce has a LONG way before you can legitimately start comparing his game to Lebron.

He is a great passer, but offensively and defensively he still needs development as he was struggling in the Summer League, at times. I expect Royce and maybe even Jones to spend some time with the Vipers.

Comparing White to Lebron is silly, but I agree that he has a unique skillset for a wide-body.
