    ppl keep saying Rockets are "only" 4 games behind the Lakers...

    Well the OKC thunder are "only" 4 games behind the Rockets at the 7th seed with a 19-15 record.

    How funny it would be if we had to play them in round 1 and we get knocked out. I think CF would be burned to the ground that day. :rolleyes:

    Cp3 needs to ensure his hammy doesnt break first and he isnt Crippled P3 before playoff time.

    Plus lets be real you think he would be in this shape if he wasnt traded? Only reason he came into camp in perfect shape is cuz he had an axe to grind. If he didnt get traded he probably would've spent the entire offseason pouting and getting passive aggressive with Harden.

    He was great cuz he had an axe to grind the first year, he wanted to show Clippers what they missed. Thats also why he is playing great now, he want to show the Rox what they missed. If he didnt have that motivation he wouldnt be playing this good cuz he old now.

    He is already 34 yrs old and he isnt Lebron. Have 0 confidence he will show the Rox for the next 4 yrs.

    Yeah some people would love for the Rockets to get knocked out by OKC to prove they are right on the internet.

    Because that's what makes them happy in life, watch their favorite team get destroyed so they can say "I told you so" to strangers on clutchfans.

    OKC is playing at close to a Max level (I think CP3 is holding back to save his hammies). Rockets haven't even touched the final level. EG shooting 60% from three since he got back and he is still fat from rehab. Rockets finally got a backup center. Cool your jets on that schadenfreude against your own team.

    The Rockets have proven incapable of beating bad teams consistently. They will be hurt just like last year by seeding.

    It's hard to tell if you're a OKC fan, or in their organization, are they happy about this start or not?

    Sure, they got lots of picks in their two trades, but they are all either their own, Denver, Miami, Houston or LAC. All these team, including them right now, are good. Granted, we're talking most picks through 2026, but still. You'd think the idea would be to relatively suck on their own these next few years to get high lotto picks, rebuild the team, then use the 2021+ type picks to fill in either via wise drafting or trades.

    Presti is a solid GM so he'll make it work.

    Perhaps the real upside here is that CP3 himself might have reverted to at least neutral trade value now? Maybe somewhat attractive to a team like Phoenix, or the Magic. Though there really aren't a ton of obvious landing spots. 76ers could take a gamble, but doubtful.

    I did NOT like his contract at all, would have NEVER given him 4 years, but I liked him a lot better than a declining Westbrook and his longer contract.

    Was listening to the latest Dunc’d on podcast and they were doing their awards so far and OKCs GM was brought up as GM of the year. Points they made....

    They clearly have won the trade so far. That Paul has easily outplayed Westbrook. They got all those picks and a better contract and they are still in the exact same position they have been and would have been with Westbrook. A non contending first round exit team.

    Side note... One of the guys actually had Harden for MVP over Giannis. Surprising if you listen to that podcast regularly.
