LOL at all these stupid a$$ threads popping up after every loss. This is a good team, however right now their glaring flaw is defense. Here's to hoping they figure it out on the defensive end.
tilboy hasn't done shiit except for luxury tax saving. les hired Morey..Morey traded for Harden. in conclusion: Les > Tilboy
I have to give Till some credit, this is his second year and he purchased a cap strapped team. It's not like he was able to start with a clean canvas for the Rockets. What's he's done for my Houston Cougars has been amazing and will always give him props for that.
I do have a question for all the Till bashers and Les lovers in here. What makes you truly think we'd be in a better position with Les? His timing to sell proved to me he saw this Rockets team as a great time to cash out. Sell high buy low always in business. You're one game away from an NBA Finals and sell?? Wtf... instead of trying to keep going to the promised land after 20+ years you exit at the franchise's most valuable point.. suspect.
Les saw the potential LT payments he’d have to make in the future and decided to dip taking the championship trophies with him Les was never this willing LT paying owner...CF would have u believe otherwise Les was so in bed with China that the team had gone from the Houston Rockets to the Beijing Rockets who just so happened to play in Houston I wonder how he would’ve handled the China situation with him having so many business ties with them.
IMHO, they are both lower-class billionaires who put profit over championships! The only difference is one walked into a team that was at the doorstep of a championship with Dream kicking the door down! (P.S.) Don't forget that 94-95' team had Mr. Lucky Charms (a.k.a. Big Shot Bob), that guy won rings in his sleep!! ....... ....... .......
Les has our trophies down in Florida, yet he was still a better owner than Tilman. The bar was set so low and somehow Tilman managed to f it up.
I'll give Les credit for the gutsy Drexler trade for #1, but not #1. That's similar to a president taking credit for the economy the day he takes office.
Didn't Les force Morey to sign Jeremy Lin to that huge post-Linsanity contract after Morey let him go in the first place?
He had to in way, imagine the backlash if he would have purchased the team and cleared the roster that was 1 game away from the Finals in his 1st year? Shoot he got hell for Ariza and Mabooty
both were cheap but one does too much unnecessary talking in the media Wish Les would've sold the team to Balmer earlier.
Les was a good owner. Tilman has somewhat pleasantly surprised in some regards. Jury still out of course
