This is the problem with your premise. Trump has an argument that he genuinely thinks Biden should have been investigated

Edit: what im saying is you at least have to prove that he didn't believe that

The proof of trump's belief is comprised of (i) what he claims his intent was; (ii) what he told people (during the events in question, not now to cover his ass) about his priorities and intent; (iii) what other people observed; and (iv) conduct by others which is indicative of intent. A finder of fact would properly consider all of this before reaching a conclusion on what Trump's intent was. Trump making a (self serving) statement regarding his intent does not shift the burden of proof or create a presumption that his statement the accurate or truthful one.

If you or anyone else objectively examined each of those factors, there's only one reasonable conclusion based on the evidence thus far. There's a crap ton of evidence, but if you're short on attention span:

    - Sondland to Holmes: Trump doesn't "give a sh-t about Ukraine". He only "gives a sh-t about big stuff", "the stuff that benefits him personally".
    - Mulvaney in his presser: There's politics in foreign policy. There's quid pro quo. "Get over it".
    - Trump's people were pushing for an ANNOUNCEMENT of an investigation (on CNN no less). He didn't give a rats ass about whether it was ever investigated. He wanted headlines for his twitter feed.

Trump has "an argument" that he genuinely thinks Biden should be investigated. It's a pathetic argument that doesn't stand up to any scrutiny. It's an argument made up after the fact to cover for his actions, cover for the fact that he has no regard for rules, laws. Even today, he thinks he should be able to do whatever the hell he wants, and people need to just get over it.

Trump uses transference, anything he does that he knows is illegal or questionable he puts out there as someone else is doing it.

I mean - Hunter Biden? LOL - look at your own children Donny!

If Trump has an argument that he genuinely thinks Biden should have been investigated, I still haven't heard why.

But, there is no standard of proof defined in the Constitution for impeachment. The logic of the accusation does dictate that you must first believe that he did what he did for corrupt purpose. But without a standard of proof, I take the assignment of motive as just "more likely than not." If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck. You don't have to "prove" the motive to a Senator, just convince him of it.

Well, on the front page of Fox app as of yesterday, Nunes says that trump had a darn good reason to have Biden investigated. Biden and the Dems were working with/in Ukraine to smear Trump's name, and Trump had to look into that.

(It's comical that Nunes is now making Trump a victim of "smears" after the backlash of trump and co smearing the good names of decorated career diplomats).
