According to ESPN that the Knicks and Warriors did'nt pull the deal on Jackson for Ward. Man, I thought that deal will go down, since GS was so interested on Ward's service, I guess Warriors was asking for someone else from the Knicks squad. Here's what they said from insider.

    Insider: Jackson deal almost official
New York's Scott Layden and Jeff Van Gundy on Oct. 4 put an end to all rumors that point guard Charlie Ward is on his way out, presumably to Golden State. That is a big relief to Rockets fans, who were sweating an earlier Peter Vecsey report that the Knicks were trying to land one of the Warriors' big men by dangling Ward, thus clearing the way for the Warriors to match Marc Jackson's offer sheet with the Rockets, reports ESPN The Insider. Sources close to the Warriors have told Insider that they will not match the offer if they cannot move one of their big men. The Rockets did not disclose details, but according to The Houston Chronicle, Jackson will join the team after signing a six-year, $24.37 million contract: ;)

Jackson would have to agree to going to New York anyway

Just for the record, this thread is just a rehash of what was posted this morning, not a separate confirmation of it. :p

Jackson wouldn't of been traded to the Knicks. Another Warrior big man would of been traded to them and then the Warriors would have the reason to resign Jackson. They have "too many big men" to resign him.

Crisco is a mean ol' poster, but he's right. Kalikuli, the title of this thread about made me faint. I thought we had lost Jackson thanks to a NY/GS deal.

Oh well, I'm still a happy camper. WOO HOO!!!

So it took Yahoo! to help you understand it? I get it. Read something here, it's ambiguous, then read an accurate description elsewhere making the description here correct! Aha!

... just waitin' for another one of those pointless arguments.

Of course you did Beav, as did I. Unlike some posters here, our minds aren't deteriorating due to the ravages of old age. :p

Where have I ever indicated that I read it elsewhere? It didn't take "Yahoo!" to help me understand it.

    "Yahoo!" indicated my understanding, rather.

If I am going to argue pointlessly, at least it will be about something important!!
