    Could have been scheduled for January and moved up because we made the playoffs.

    It was a scheduled procedure, meaning the Texans have known about this for a while. The idea was to schedule it later in the season so that the defense would be well-versed in the system by now. Also, they scheduled it after our last "tough" opponent to ensure that situational play-calling would be at a minimum. I'm guessing he'll be back before the Indianapolis game.

    I was kidding, thought I would bring humor into all this.

    But it's been pretty obvious that Wade wants another head coaching gig. His Dallas gig was not bad prior to his last year, he went to the playoffs consistently with Dallas. And his regular season record as head coach speaks for it self. However, his playoff record does as well :(

    One reason teams don't beat down the door for older head coaching candidates;
    a possible blessing in disguise.

    hopefully our very own 'top notch' medical center can take care of him, and attract him to stay for more years...

    Not sure which is more dramatic...survivor, LOST, battlestar Galatica or our damn season. We keep losing people but keep moving on. Geez.

    No, they want, according to their owner, a young Don Schula (like he grows on trees). The only team I could see trying to get Wade is San Diego. They like veteran coaches, Schottenheimer, Norv Turner and Wade has ties there.

    Definitely the biggest loss for the Texans. Wade Phillips has been amazing. Heard on 790 this morning that they'd know more about the procedure shortly.

    He's probably already gameplanned against the Panthers and we won't need him against the Colts. Hopefully he'll be back against Tennessee but that game might be meaningless at the time depending on how the next 2 weeks play out.

    As long as AJ and Wade are back in time to prepare for the playoffs, we should be ok.
