It would be mean, but the best thing for Miami to do is to bring James/Bosh back, ditch wade and use that money on Melo.
Also add in there that we got rid of a quality center in the process.. Free up money ? Cool , for who ? For Gasol or Ariza?? I'd rather have Asik!!!
especially when DWade is the odd man out in terms of production. Dwade is probably untouchable in Miami.
Reynolds and Skolnick are both very credible when it comes to the Heat. Unless Highkin made them up completely as references, this is as legit as you can hope for.
That would be the smart thing to do but loyalty and emotions will get involved and Miami is gonna say they have to keep him. They should be smart and learn something from the lakers' mistake, don't waste cap on someone who can't produce or is declining for max money. Do it based on production and market value. I'm guessing wade gets 12-15 tho he prob deserves 8-9. With bosh being third fiddle you can barely see his complete skill set, not sure if his usage was soo low or he has regressed. Either way if your Miami I say business is business and they don't owe anyone anything and build around lebron. They should go for Lowry , Stephenson,gasol and bogut around lebron with Ray Allen and scraps.
They can't just dump Wade though. He hasn't opted out yet. If Wade had even 0.1% of a suspicion that he might be unceremoniously dismissed in favor of Carmelo, then he never in a million years would opt out. No, for him to opt out there MUST be a contract extension that they have a handshake agreement upon, at least for him if not the other two guys.
What would be funny is to see the new max become what they agree upon. Now that wouldn't ever get by the union but it would be funny to watch the King and his Princes get shunned by the rest of the players in the league.
Agreed. But at least we got him for something decent. That pick is our best asset now. We might have to not decline the option on parsons contract now. That would be awful if we're capped out after this summer with no big addition.
