    Yeah, I think all 5 of the other candidates on that list have better stat sheet than Mario...and I pretty certain their teams didn't give up a 17 point 4th quarter lead.

    Again, Mario's stat line is not the best, but it is cool that he keeps getting put in the voting. Do they have Defensive player of the month awards?

    They do. I think Redskin rookie, Chris Horton, won it in the first month. Also, IIRC, Mario won it last year after going on his sacking spree towards the end of the year.

    Just for the record, he already notched 4 sacks and 1 FF this month, and his next two game is against the Lions and the Bengals to end the month. Looks real possible.
