$4 million, 2 years is all I'd do, perhaps with a team option (with a raise) for a third year, if he develops at the same rate.
http://www.myfoxhouston.com/dpp/sports/nba/090703_wafer_rockets_return He'd accept the minimum from any other team except the Rockets.
If Von wants the Rockets to sign him, he needs to stop that "headless chicken" style of play he sometimes does. Next year's team is going to be about cuts, screens, movement, and quick decision-making.
Well he can gummidge my worzel. Seriously though, just pay the guy $2 mil per/3 years/team option on the 3rd year/6 mil total, and lets call it a fn day.
I really hope this is true. Von brought energy to this team that Yao and T-mac will never have in their lifetime.
yeah!it's unlucky to lose Yao in the next season, but we must be confident with t-mac.do u remeber his history,35 seconds 13points.he is talent.
Honestly I wouldn't mind seeing Von coming back to Houston, I loved his energy and his scoring ability. If he can be consistent on the defensive end and improve on his distributing game than I think he would be a solid piece to the rockets roster.
theres really noone else who could give us the contribution Von can give us at the SG spot when you look at the free agents.
Yeah Von has been around the league for a while and has some playoff experience and so far he's the best SG option in my opinion. Jermaine Taylor looks like he can develop into a great nba player but as of now Von is the better player.
I bet Von is sorry he rejected 3.5 mil from the Rox... I doubt another team will pay that much. Now he probably gotta settle for less money.
That offer was BS. Never happened. Von's agent and Feigan confirmed that he never had a 3.5 mil offer.
