Had two trips booked for Pizza Expo and then again end of April for my buddy’s wife’s 40th...just canceled flights for both trips. Stay safe and good luck both health wise and at the tables if you go!

Saw this. Yea, I had no buffet plans haha, but if I hear something else like Casino/shows/etc. shutting down, I might call it. It's looking grim.

I had planned for the breakfast buffet at the Mirage but have to make other plans now.

Personally I see this as a superficial move to calm travel fears to Vegas. They give up something that is most likely losing them money in a show of faith. Do you think they will close the casinos because they can't continuously wash their chips? Nope...shut down the buffets...

buffet's in vegas aren't considered money makers. especially when getting this part of the casino comped is so easy these days.

Amen. I'm not worried about me personally, and certainly not panicking or anything, but I'm slightly terrified for a few of my older relatives who have other medical issues.

Hopefully the government begins planning on plenty of oxygen, ventilators, and how to handle overflow at hospitals and other facilities.

It’s likely going to accelerate here in the US in the next coming weeks.

Canceled our Spring Break trip to LA earlier today, Delta was easy about it all and very helpful. Non-essential travel so no need. #greatergood

I keep waiting for my ****ing work to tell my team that we can work from home since we're 100% capable of doing that...but so far no dice.

Ok... Look, my mom is 70. She is in good health, and neither of us are concerned one iota. However, I totally understand anyone having concerns with any older person with medical issues.

...but how is that different from any other year with any other virus?

I'm also in the not-panic camp but I'd avoid personal contact with your mom until it passes over. I'm not worried for myself. But I could be an asymptomatic carrier that could possibly infect an older family member so I'm keeping my distance.

Last time a shutdown like this happened in the US was 1957. By a Flu virus...

I'm disappointed at how many are looking at this as anything more than all the other issues.

When, and I repeat, when the CDC calls this a Pandemic, you can panic. Until then, shut up and go on with your lives.

And even then, Do we all contain ourselves?

This is all so utterly stupid & pointless.

We will get a cure soon enough. We always have.

I live and look after my 92 year old mother. Yeah, I've been thinking a lot about how I can stay isolated and free from this crap. Keeping her isolated from everyone else is easy. But someone has to go get groceries occasionally. I'm gonna be doing lots of late night shopping I guess.
