Nice job increasing value by J.Hill. Morey can trade him for something good in offseason. For example, if Celtics flame out, Rockets can rob their grave.

He will be just fine..just needs to work on a couple of things.

    1. confidence..this will come through experience
    2. More polished offense ala going to the left, with left handed hook shots, (this may not be mandatory via scola) This should come in the offseason
    3. Playing effective D..cutting down on fouls and blocking more shots. Timing and experience are needed for this as well.

BUT i love what i see, and he was a great pick up in the deal.

I'd rather he work with Dawson. Hakeem would be a nice addition, too.

Chris Wilcox/Ronny Turiaf comparisons seems pretty close so far.

    Thanks for the highlights.

He's really mobile and not exactly swift but very active on offense.

I like his natural instincts down low. What a freaking steal!
I'm sure Yao's gonna like this dude cleaning up the middle.

I'm calling it: Jordan Hill will be similar to Kevin Garnett in every phase of the game

Call me crazy but as very raw rookie who had played very small minutes, he does everything you can't teach...blocks shots, plays smart defense, skies high for rebounds, hustles, instinctive on the offensive end (has a knack for finding soft spots in the D), can finish with authority, goes hard to the rack, looks for contact/fouls, plays vertically and he hits his free throws.

He has touch for sure (as evidenced by his FT's and soft jump hook), if he can perfect his range from 15-20 ft, he's a garnett-caliber player.

anyone else notice how Nate R seems to trip scola on purpose??

He's running behind him about to pass him, then all of a sudden changes direction towrds scola for a step or two and scola trips...

This is probably the most insane thing Ive read in a long time.

CBud becoming Larry Bird is more realistic.

Seemed to me Nate was running across the court to catch up with Lowry (his man) and got tangled with Scola's feet in the process.

well yes, but what is weird is, if you look at his feet, he's running diagonally first, then all of sudden he's running vertically for a step or two, which is when scola trips, then he seems to go back to running diagonally, but he trips himself as well...why would he change direction right towards scola?

His hook shots look good. He certainly got some potential on the post. Hopefully he will learn some post moves/skills from Scola in the coming years and develop into a beast.

Looks like he was anticipating where Lowry was going, hence the change of direction. Nothing really screamed out to me as intentional, so if it was, Nate did a good job of hiding because there was a ref right above them when they tripped.

Doesn't have the hops Wilcox had, much better than Turiaf though. That sweeping hook is money, he just has to be able to step outside and hit a few jumpshots as needed ala Landry. Love the fact he can make his FTs too! I say his ceiling could be a Jermaine O'Neal type, who knows, I like what I see so far though...
