Quick first step nor lateral quickness I did not see.

Hollinger projected him with decent lateral speed, not elite, not very good, above average......

Paul Pierce doesn't beat anyone off the dribble either, but he's elite at finishing in the paint with contact which he inevitably draws due to his lack of elite speed. We'll see how Morris is at that before we write him off as a person who is able to slash into the paint.

Pretty good comparison. I say mold him as a SF only. He has the size, skill, range, and mobility. He should never play PF.

This is the Marcus Morris that I saw at Kansas. I have a feeling that he's going to become a fan favorite rather quickly.

Dude can get on fire :)

He has a nice high release. Very smooth. I hope he can continue improving his shot.

Him and Twill played pretty well together. TWill was looking for him a lot.

He doesn't have to be that quick. He just needs to be quick enough to get by PFs because there is no 3 in the league that can cover him in the post. The issue will be more on the defensive end. Can he cover the quicker 3s. If Battier can, I don't see why Morris couldn't.

That's right. If memory serves, Battier played the 4 at Duke.

What impressed me was his ability to quickly get off a shot, like when he hit the 3 with time running out and on his turn around against Splitter at the elbow.

    This is a nice comparison.

Especially his jumper. If I didn't know any better I would've thought it was Melo shooting.

I think his years at Kansas did him well. He doesn't look like a rookie. Can't wait to see what he does in the regular season.

If he had Twill's explosiveness he would be lock for the Allstar reserves.
But he will get there in time.

If he had Twill's explosiveness he'd be like Iguodala or Lebron lite. I think we got another gem @ the 14th pick.

That turnaround jumper for his second shot was smooth.

He is definitely a 3. He seems to have lost a bit of weight as well.

I confused him and Lee several times because they look so similar on the court.

I think he is more an offensive gem. We should polish his D side.

I take Danny Granger, Homeless man's Lebron, Melo lite, leaner David West comparisons

This Morris guy is lookin' real good. I really think he should take Bud's spot. Bud is so inconsistent and has confidence issues on the court.

He looked good no doubt but lets temper our expectations before we label him our next All-Star. Stay humble stay hungry!

We should be happy that we have at least 5 very good looking prospects.

Twill - Squid with Elite rebounding, good passing, elite athleticism
Ppat - Very good athleticism, good offensive rebounding, serviceable midrange game, blocks
MarcusMorris - knack for scoring, smooth jumper, tenacity to take over the game
DMo - Gallinari mold, tremendous offensive skillset, improved rebounding so far, huge upside
JordanHill - agile post player, improved rebounding, hustle and blocks, serviceable post game

Not to mention the others, Dragic, Lin, Smith....
