Seriously "what" is your fixation on Thorpe? No one here is saying that Thorpe wasn't a great player and a great Rocket who deserves a lot of respect. The fact is the trade was made that brought Clyde to the Rockets and sent Otis to the Trailblazers the rest is history. You can speculate on some alternate history where the trade was never made but in this timeline it was and clearly Rockets' management felt it was a trade worth making. That doesn't mean that Thorpe didn't do a lot for the Rockets. You sound bitter that we aren't praising Thorpe as much as Drexler.
