[Video] Officials appear to miss Russell Westbrook backcourt violation (Ruled incorrect call)

If you read rules, it can be complicated, but I think the principle isn't hard to grasp here. But even if it is, we are talking about elite refs here, who should know the rules.

 

The problem is that the principle of don't touch the ball in the backcourt if you start in the froncourt is easy to grasp. But when you bring in concepts like possession and forward momentum, it becomes incredibly confusing.

 

And, BTW, I was furious with the call at the time, along with the other phantom fouls and similar calls WB was getting
