I see, I stand corrected then. Thanks. Although my point still stands that Lowry does not need the ball to be an effective scorer. Unlike Brooks, he does a smaller volume of shots to yield almost equally as impressive results.
This I will agree with 100%. Never wanted him to leave, just wanted Lowry to man the point instead. Maybe after his Chinese team's contract is up, he will consider coming back to us since there is where he has had all of his success.
And I love tough, gritty PGs who play hard on both ends of the floor and impact the game in many different ways. I'm glad Lowry is a good one of those, too.
But I wonder if Brooks would accept being a backup if he's not behind a future HOFer... He seemed booty hurt last season.
His D has slipped a bit this year though, I think it is probably because he is expending so much energy on offense. DD
He never beat a woman. He through two "high speed balls" at her. The first one hit her torso (probably stomach) and was apparently low enough speed for her to pick it up and retaliate by throwing it back at him. As far as the 2nd ball that Lowry threw, I don't actually remembering any confirmation that it hit her aside from just her word that it nailed her in the shoulder. Lowry also apologized afterwards to the ref. Granted this is still a crappy move by Lowry, but he never lifted a hand on the ref.
IMO, not really. I think he's defending harder this year than last year, actually. And he was very good last year. Brooks was a more natural, better scorer than Lowry is and probably ever will be. I'll give him that. What I like about Lowry is his all-around game and leadership qualities. He's turned himself into a player that's strong on both ends of the court. But he needs a scorer/finisher that we can rely on at the end of games. To me, he's over-extending himself if he's trying to be that guy. Especially on the second night of a back-to-back, playing almost the entire game.
I agree. We also cannot keep riding Klow on both sides like this. We are going to burn him out at this pace BEFORE he ever has a chance to be an all-star.
yea i think this was a game that brooks would have. but lowry assists and rebounds the ball 10x better than brooks did at his peak in houston. lowry obviously felt his shot was on fire, so when one thing is working, why not take advantage?
