[Video] Key defensive plays by Kyle Lowry at end of regulation, OT vs. Grizzlies

Looks like Lowry will keep his starter spot for a while cuz we need him during clutch time! AB can't defend well and makes bad decisions towards the end.

 

He got tired of defending Brooks. He believed 100% that the only way the Rockets would win a close game would be because of Brooks. Brooks losing a few games at the end and now the Rockets winning 2 in a row without him, he isn't going to show in here and admit he was wrong.

 

Gasol, 2 grabs on scola in under 20 seconds...SMH. I have always hated that aspect of the game. More than flopping.

 

Clutch can put out the highlights BEFORE the play actually happens if he wanted to. He is just kind enough to not spoil the ending for us and ruin the fun. :grin:

 

That block was really athletic and nice.

The last play in OT Lowry runs all over the court. He starts on-ball, switches to the player who took the shot (Young?), then runs all the way to the baseline to get the long rebound. Lots of hustle. Awesome.

I'm so proud that Adelman literally ISO'd Brooks in the 4th. A boneheaded play like dribbling off your own ankle might have triggered the inner fire in Rick. He goes out and Mr. All Hustle makes two huge plays. WIN!

 

Unreal. And a certain player was supposed to be our "closer," with Kyle doomed to a future of coming off the bench. Where did that cat go? Where was he at the end of regulation and the OT? I thought his offense was supposed to negate the need for Lowry's defense when it came to comparing their roles? As Don Vito Corleone once said, "Yeah, sure."

 

Anyone notice when they won, it said halftime then fulltime.

Kyle Lowry plays with the heart of a champion. Two excellent plays in the last minute of OT to seal the win.
