Double drivel, travel, offensive foul, and illegal bearding all in the same move. Score!

it certainly looked like a double dribble from the baseline angle.

but It probably wasn't. Harden is a trickster

Who cares if he double dribbled or committed an offensive foul....the important thing was that it wasn't called. That means Harden has earned the respect of the refs as a player capable of those kind of moves......that bodes well going forward.

Its not a double dribble. It looks like he used both hands for the next dribble but he only used his left hand and his right hand was really close to the ball almost like he was about to grab it but he didn't touch it with his right hand.

The camera angle makes it looks like he touch it with both hands but he only touch it with his left. But because his right hand was so close to touch it, people thinks its a double dribble. But even so, its not like it added any type of advantage to it.

I don't understand why so many people hate on James for such a great move. Its a great move, its not a double dribble so get over it. On Youtube, its ridiculous on how many people are hating on Harden and saying all these crap like its a double dribble, traveling and offensive foul....

A lot of times, great players like Harden doesn't plan out on what moves he will make. That move was just basically a reaction to the defense. He wasn't just planning to do that specific move, it just comes to him as a natural reaction.

Like when I play basketball, I don't plan out what moves I'm going to make but just play and react. That's what it is. Harden was on a fast break and the defense was trying to trap him and he reacts to it by making that move so he can get through the defense. A lot of people don't understand that and some may think he's trying to show off or something.

    wrong.

all superstar players get that much contact and then some when drawing and 1's or when posterizing a defender.

The great ones get that benefit every time

i like the part where he scores and gets a foul call.

handles rarely impress me after years of watching Francis dribble for 20 seconds and then burn defenders.

Don't believe the double dribble nor the offensive foul. It wasn't a very fluid movement because he has to hitch up a bit to regain control of the ball. But, whatever. He avoided the defender and got the bucket.

If Jeremy Lin did this you wouldn't be hearing technically it was a offensive foul or he double dribbled...
