But this only shows 10 minutes of Harden playing good defense. How about other times?! You can take any player and cut 10 minutes of them playing good defense. Doesn't mean he is a good defender just because there is 10 minutes of him playing good defense. Substitute good with bad, and that was our argument since that first video came out. What if the media starts using the "10 minutes of good defense means nothing. Harden is still a bad defender" mantra? Probably will.. But big ups to Harden! He is really taking defense seriously and it's showing! Stats, advanced metrics, and just watching him every game. If only the media will start recognizing.

this video needs to be put out there so everyone can shut up about his defense. he's averaging a block per game at 6'5 w/o being a freak athlete. its criminal how no one knows about this new part of his game outside of rockets fans
Then we'll have an exceptionally easy litmus test to tell who has watched more than 1 Rockets game this year among the national media. Great video, I'm glad that multiple parties including the CF team are keeping good records of this remarkable turnaround, because Harden really has been night and day from last season.
We all know haters will say that you can make a defensive highlight video for any player by just picking and choosing their best plays. Even though you could apply the same logic to the defensive lapses video last year.
Harden was an excellent defender in college, and also while at OKC (one reason I was so excited to get him... a young offensive 2 that defends)
Read a Golden State fan claiming he watched " almost " most of the rockets game and still claims curry is a better defender than Harden. Curry may have better defensive rating , barely, but he has Thompson and Bogut to hide his defensive deficiency.
