Uh yeah, hasn't the Harlem Shake been around for a while? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harlem_shake <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/az7pn5zfUsU" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
So the common theme in those videos seems to be : 1) One person "dances" 2) Others in the area pretend to not notice and carry on with their business 3) Spontaneously, people change clothes and join in 4) At least one person must be on the ground convulsing Yes, this could be very popular!
There's a subreddit for it @ /r/harlemshake. Hope the silliness doesn't ruin/kill the "trap" music genre. I kind of like it.
It won't ever get better than this: <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/wqZc2dyClko" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Breakdown of how this started: http://www.uproxx.com/webculture/2013/02/ok-what-the-hell-is-the-harlem-shake/ This looks like the video all the others are based on: <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/384IUU43bfQ" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
I don't think this one is following the rules <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/pbhskUXZIIk" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
