There sure are a lot of people terrified by the concept of homosexuality in here. Sadly par for the course around here most of the time.

All of you criticizing Patterson's response to the situation and praising Asik's must be a bit obtuse. They were both looking to keep things from escalating. Asik separated the two while Patterson tried to calm down Thabeet, a former teammate. Harden and Asik have no prior relationship with Thabeet, so of course they are more likely to be aggressive towards him.

Patterson is one of only a few that showed up tonight and some of you jokers can only make gay jokes while you piss and moan that he didn't punch Thabeet in the face or something.

He was just in defensive mode. Didnt deliberately push him. Dont even think he saw him. Good sign when NBA refs realize they made a mistake and try to fix it right away.

I dont even know how much of an advantage it would have been to put tabeet in the locker room

$10 to the tip jar if someone posts a soundtrack of what Thabeet was shouting :)

According to Jonathan Feigen, it's something that can't be typed.

Actually, Patterson has always been a big brother type to the other younger players over his career. Even back in his Kentucky days.
It was a good thing Pat was there. Thabeet was about to get his ass whooped.

    Thank you.

No one besides Asik and Patterson decided to play today and all the focus is on this crap.

I'm trying to remember if Morris was buddies with Thabeet at all last season...Notice Morris gives Thabeet a little shove before Pat steps in, and then when Thabeet gets tossed, Morris points away, as if to say your gone/get out.

Props to Asik for stepping in quickly.

Collison was the one that foul Harden, not Thabeet. But Thabeet gave him a little push in the back which is probably why Harden turn around and said something. It didn't look like it but Collison got him in the arm at first.

I had more of an issue of the ref pulling Thabeet by the jersey and basically throwing him out of the way....

If you get obsessed and start making repeated homophobic remarks about something as innocent as this...

...you might be in the closet.
