Not trolling. I think Ocarina was a great game. Innovative, challenging, and fun. That said, WW felt so much more Zelda to me. The NPCs were charming, the combat was very well done, and the cell shaded look reminded me so much of the originals. I know WW gets a lot of hate, but honestly, I think most people that hate it never got far enough into it to really appreciate it.
new trailer WOW <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/-0HCc3RFe54" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> and two early reviews: Official Nintendo Magazine: 98% - highest reviewed game ever. Saying it's better then Ocarina of Time http://www.computerandvideogames.co...w-worlds-first-is-98-heralds-best-zelda-ever/ Edge Magazine: 10/10(only 14 games total have received 10's) - Saying Wii was made fore this game and best Zelda to date http://www.next-gen.biz/reviews/legend-zelda-skyward-sword-review Looking like the game of the year. How u.
Zelda games are the only ones I buy opening week. They're money every single time. When Nintendo's teams start making games for a halfway competent system, we're gonna have ourselves some EPIC games. I really hope Wii U pans out. Games like this should not be wasted on inferior systems.
Game of the year? I've never even heard of it till this 2 page thread. I doubt this gets GOTY. Haven't played Zelda since Ocarina of Time. Love Zelda, just can't believe it still looks like it's on the N64 when it's almost 2012.
WW and TP got major GOTY awards this should be unanimous if it's better then ocarina like the reviews are saying
You love Zelda, but haven't played it in 15 years and haven't even heard of it's newest installment? Zelda has put out some pretty amazing games, despite the glaring limitations of the system it's built for. They're just fundamentally good games.
This. What the Nintendo systems lack in eye candy more than make up for by providing excellent gameplay and story lines. Just finished up TP last week and it was one of the best games I've ever played. So much to do, great story, worked great with the Wii remote.
A great game (but it feels extremely dated)... Ocarina Of Time was AHEAD of its time. Skyward Sword is way, way behind its time...
Yep. I don't own a Wii. Wouldn't waste my money on the POS. I do have an emulator though, guess I gotta give these other ones a try. Loved Zelda on the NES...SNES....and N64.
I sometimes would rather play zelda on the n64 than some ps3/xbox games. It's story and gameplay is simply amazing, brings alot of old memories.
NOt saying it's not a good / great game. Just that, with the rehashed Modern Warfare Expansion # 3 coming out, and Battle Field 3. Not sure how one of those games doesn't get it with the mass amount of players.
I don't think those games matchup gameplay wise to the Zelda series. Online play and fun multiplayer, but gameplay.. Zelda owns.
Looks like every other modern Zelda game. I'm sure it will be great to play and a lot of fun, but I wish they would mix up the levels a bit instead of offering the same old things... forest temple, fire temple, ice temple, water temple, etc...
Perhaps I should go finish Twilight Princess sometime in the next few weeks so I can be ready for this game when it comes out.
Edge review is now online. It sounds pretty great. I can't even quite process this about a Zelda game for example: and http://www.next-gen.biz/reviews/legend-zelda-skyward-sword-review Might have to pick this up sooner rather than later.
