Hell yeah. Can't wait! Some crazy mod for GTV4. <iframe width="853" height="480" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/_ZvbHUpph0k" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
San Andreas was great, GTA 4 was good but pretty boring. Vice City will always hold a special place in my heart because it's the game that got me started on GTA. Plus the whole 80s thing. Let's go back to that please.
I also love the musics from the 80s but I wouldn't be too concern. That could easily be modded to any songs you want to put into the game.
I think Vice City definitively proves Roger Ebert wrong; I think that game qualifies as art. Some of the best social satire of any media in the last decade. A deconstruction of violence in media, as one is rewarded for beating one's prostitute to recover one's cash? "We need a river. Build us a river.": as political satire, years before every candidate from one political party now promises to cover the entire southern border with an electrified fence, just to get elected. As long as the same brothers are writing this version, I'm down.
I once thought of a GTA game with the Main character being a Mexican immigrant crossing the border. As always, there will be drugs and violence...and if you get caught by Border Control, you revive back in Mexico.
You know, if they put in the entire city in the game. You'd be playing with 10 disks, or you'd have crappier textures. Size limitations.
I really hope it will go back to the Black or Latino community you had in SA, I never really felt Niko and all that Russian background. Good areas would be something like LA, Houston, St. Louis, Baltimore, Oakland, Chicago, Washington, etc. Or stick with NY and go to some area like Brooklyn, Harlem,...
It wasn't as detailed as IV though, was it? And though the land area was quite large, the 3 main cities really weren't. Liberty City in IV might have been about as big as those 3 combined. Maybe. LA Noire took up 3 discs on the 360.
