True. We had our amnesty and only two candidates to use it on otherwise it would expire. The obvious choice was Scola as Martin's contract is still an expiring, it's his contract year and we have so many young fours.

It doesn't make sense to amnesty a guy like Morris on his rookie contract.

 

Yea I remember (it was either a season or so ago) that we declined to use our amnesty.

 

Don't get used to it. Seeing how things are going, don't be suprised of Donatas Motieasset ends up in Orlando.

I love it! Absolutely love this guy! Definitely a keeper.

 

Reminds me a little bit of Sabonis. Nowhere near the passer Sabonis was, but he has some of his moves.

Those post moves where great. Those 3 pointers were silk and his other points were from pure hustle.

I don't know, Sabonis would've had a lot MORE upside if he hadn't been forced to wait nine years after being drafted to come here...

But still, yeah, I already like this guy. If he can average 15 points a game in the NBA, I'll be very, very happy.

i agree with you 100 percent .. he hit 3 outside jumpers, had about 3 buckets one on one post moves .. 2-3 buckets on pick and roll finishes....2 buckets on offensive rebound put back .. 2 buckets where he outhusled other players for the lose ball .. whats so impressive about that? 80 percent of the centers (howard included) can do all of that IN A WEEKs worth of play

im not saying he is a superstar already (cato) but its a great start... same goes for lamb and same goes to the pg machado (spelling?) I think he will be a very capable back up pg to start the season (now if we can just get lin or brooks)

 

Everyone remember he is up against rookies and sophomores in the summer league. So right now I'm not really sold on him until he goes up against the "superstars" of the league.

 

Correction: I don't think the Rockets could amnesty Morris since his contract was signed after the new CBA agreement.
