    I don't think Deke said he prays for Kobe and Artest. I think he said he prays for Kobe and Phil Jackson because of the arrival of Artest.

    Deke said he prays for Kobe and he prays for Phil and their lockerroom because when you take Ron you take all of him.

    Though he did also say that Ron's a nice guy.

    I love Ron and his antics were fun, but I still think we got the better end of the deal.

    One important thing in Artest's game that Deke touched on was his intensity. Regardless of if he's having a good game or not he always brings that intensity and it's contagious. You'll see some lakers playing harder just from being around the guy. He brings the intangibles, something I'm sure the Lakers' organization thought of before signing him.
