Great job, batkins... thanks for putting that together. Here's the version with replay of that play at the end of the third quarter.

Thats what I said, back in the "Aaron Brooks or Rudy Fernandez" thread. Fernandez is a little better than Budinger and has better potential himself. But at THIS point on the COURT, Budinger isnt all that far removed from what Fernandez is offering.

Defense has not been the issue, like I mentioned before.

Its his consistency on the offensive end, although he has 6 straight games with double figures now.......

This play and his first dunk against the blazers shows me he understands what a travel is and can flirt with it. Wafer also understood this, making plays that only appeared to be travelling.

It looks like he took 5 steps after picking up his dribble. As a fan of basketball the refs need to call that and it was an easy call to make. But I'll take it.

I already commented on that. He took those steps before picking up the ball, Wafer would take three steps on fast breaks bc he understood as well. They dribble the ball and take a few steps before touching it again.

his play and JJ's was the only bright spots in today's game. that buzzer beater got the #1 spot on the NBA.com top 10 today too.

Budinger is one of the great steals from the draft... IMO, He even showed more promises than the young Brent Barry...

    ROOKIE

    that's right

    he's a rookie!

I have to remind myself sometimes...

can't wait to see him develop even more. He's going to be a 20 pt per game kinda guy soon.

Up until mid-January, Rockets were 10-2 when Chase scored in double-figures.

Since mid-January, the entire team has just done a faceplant. I can hardly see how one could say Budinger's defense is atop the blame list.

I see him developing into a Peja-like role during the Adelman/Sac days. Chase is a very, very good system player, perfect fit with what Adelman's trying to do.

Comparing their Rookie years for fun:
    Chase
    19.6MPG 42%FG 36%3pt 78%FT 2.9 REB 1.1 AST 8.6 PPG
    Peja
    21.4MPG 38%FG 32%3pt 85%FT 3.0 REB 1.5 AST 8.4 PPG
