I'm a bit impressed with Deng Adel. He has a great body, plays hard and looks smart. I thought the better SF was Edwards, but I see Adel as a better NBA profile.
Really good shooter....can't create shot and serviceable defense...we need an Ariza defensive replacement...let's hope that assessment is wrong on defense.
How in the world did Melton slip to #46 In the draft? He's playing better than most, if not all, of the 1st rounders.
I dont know if that is an accurate comparison. Gilbert was a scoring guard. Melton doesn't look to score, he just puts it up when he is open. Melton isn't flashy, just makes winning plays.
6 ROCKETS PG De'Anthony Melton, USC sophomore Melton was a victim of the FBI investigation into college basketball, but you simply won't find a player who can do more at the point guard position in this draft. He had lottery talent. The concern before the suspension was his jumper, but at this point, this is a tremendous pick. Grade: A The FBI investigation hurt him....GREAT news for us though.
Kinda reminds me of Gary Payton coming out of college...... before he learned to shoot... Played that crouched style but was deceptively long and rangey..... and could really attack the basket...
