I don't like Vescey, but my gosh, since JVG left, he's definitely given props to the Rockets. In this NBA.TV interview, he actually promotes Adelman for Coach of the Year, saying "he's the most underrated coach in all NBA history," and suggests that Scola and Landry should split the Rookie of the Year. It's fun seeing him speak so highly of the Rockets on NBA TV. www.nba.com/video
A week or so ago, he was also incredibly complementary towards McGrady ... it was almost touching. He was saying how T-Mac has always been such a good kid who's sometimes to blunt for his own good. He seemed genuinely sympathetic about all the bad things T-Mac has gone through in his career.

sources close to me say, that this a great interview! Thanks for sharing. It's great seeing everyone on this team getting props.
He pronounced it correct this time but called Hayes "Charlie Hayes". btw, did a thread disappear? that thread about someone scared we are going to get blown out by the Lakers, I don't see it anymore.
When he actually does his job he can make some cogent analysis, but about 80% of the time I've seen him he just screws around and makes lame ass jokes which is basically a huge waste of air time........also whats with the peach colored shirt and who the f*** is Charlie Hayes
Vescey must have incriminating photos to still have a job. All he does is parrot stuff written by other sportswriters. I swear, the man knows next to nothing about basketball. Yes, I realize I'm being Captain Obvious here; just venting.
He is usually critical of the Rockets but some his points are valid. In this interview, he is definitely on the bandwagon already .
At the risk of parroting you, I've always wondered how the hell this guy has a job as a writer. He is barely literate and doesn't know **** about ball. What did we learn from that interview? Nothing. When someone who knows something about basketball like Doug Collins says something, then I'll listen.
