Flo is singlehandedly ruining Progressive. Whether that's a good thing or not is up to you.

West Wing started to go down hill after Lowe left. That's what my significant other claims, anyway. She thinks he's cute.

That show was so great, it would have been nice if NBC kept it around with some ER-type recasting rather than doubling down on reality TV. Lowe walked away from two shows because he thought he was being underused, then mellowed out in time for Parks and Rec.

They did try ER re-casting and it sucked.

West Wing was pretty damn expensive to produce too.

In both cases, ratings dictate everything.

She's right in that the first four seasons were way better than the final three... but the fall off was due to Sorkin leaving after the 4th season, not Lowe.

My favorite Direct TV commercial is the hot marionette.

Husband: Best of all with the new set top box there are no wires.
    Friend: Yeah wires are weird.
    Wife: What did you say?
Friend: Uhh uhh wires are...uhh not weird.
    Husband: Yeah yeah.

100 people surveyed, top 2 answers on the board, why does Direct TV suck?

Goes out in rain or other poor weather conditions

24 month contract (discount only offered for 12 months - not disclosed)

My Direct TV has only gone out twice in the past 3 years that I know of and then only for about 5 minuets each time. This was a major concern of mine and has been a non-issue.

The 24 month contract isn't so bad. Every time you reup you can talk them into new equipment, upgraded sports packages etc.

This year I got all three when I moved and resigned at the same time. All new equipment with 3 wireless HD receivers, NBA league pass for free and NFL sunday ticket MAX for free.

Direct TV kicks the crap out of comcast and timewarner both of which I had previously.

The worst i've seen is in bars that have only satellite... during crappy weather, every single tv goes out with that error message, its quite dramatic!

With cloud technology/streaming and wifi now, I wonder why they can't develop some sort of backup for these scenarios... where the box then switches to wifi streaming mode and provides seamless service.

Why doesn't Comcast try to smear DirecTV instead of complaining?

A good Parks & Rec joke just went right over your head.

The only addition I would make to the original commment is to state the posters complete name before the comment.

    So Chris Treagor...
