    The commercials suck. Who is Rob Lowe? He's not even A-list, I'd say he's a C-list type celebrity. I've never heard of him before these commercials. Why the **** should I care how cool and suave he is?

    The mediator also noted that there is no scientific evidence showing that Rob Lowe would have been super creepy, painfully awkward, far less attractive, or crazy hairy had he chosen cable.

    Same here... and most of the commercials were really harping on the "old" stigmas of cable tv that have changed drastically.

    I always wondered why cable never attacked satellite more on the "must have a clear line of sight to the south sky" that is sometimes iffy, along with the outages that do continue to happen in bad weather, despite what the satellite companies tell you.

    It's interesting how effective Lowe is as a comedic actor, and that it probably only works as self-parody and in reflection of his previous fame. I do remember that Arsenio Hall parody he did on SNL like 25 years ago, that was actually just as good as Keenan Ivory-Wayans's.
