Gordon Hayward must have tremedous upside given that he's only 12 years old.

    LMAO...

Seriously, Hayward looks like the one white kid who went to all the basketball camps held year round ...and no not the YMCA ones , the expensive ones.

    Lottery pick= role player= fail.

or maybe utah is planning on a s&t with boozer to bring in another big man...

i live in SLC now and i gotta tell ya... the jazz seem to find alot of foriegners and white guys. i think these types of players are more likely to resign in utah and not leave them high and dry.

boozer will probably leave them high and dry this offseason. i think dwill will do the same when he is up for renewal... did you hear his comments after the brewer trade this year?

i think their management team is trying factor in those types of risks when they draft players.

makes me legitimately wonder if dwill was the point guard they really wanted (over chris paul) or the player they felt had a better chance of staying in salt lake for their career.

Aside from the lotto pick part... wasn't Chase Budinger basically in the camps with Hayward?

i guess the biased jazz FO figured the white majority fans in slaty lake city would be be happy cuz hes white.. this wasnt a good pick based off value alone, they have a top 10 pick for the first time in a while and this is who they choose? wow, they squandered this imo

They drafted Deron Williams 3rd in 2005 so I would hardly say it's been "in a while", especially how they've managed to snag two Top 10 picks in the past 5 years without truly being a lottery team.

Don't know if he will be a bust or not, but I'm just glad he was picked before our turn came up, so there was no chance of us selecting him.

I liked the way he played, and competed in college, but it's like he does all the right things, only kinda in slow motion, and I think that might not translate to the pros.

what a waste of a pick. He will have no choice but to learn the dirty screens that sloan teaches his players just to break the rotation.

Well said, my sentiments exactly. Wonderful pick! I am for anything that adds to the misery of Utah fans and their team.
