    Here's one quote I found on HornFans.com

After the game last night the guys on the radio were interviewing Applewhite. Major was talking about a pass he completed and said "I was looking off to the right to try to get the safety over there a little more, then when I saw him turn his hips, I knew (the reciever on the left) would be open."

Can you imagine Simms ever even thinking of any of that. :(

    welcome, Major!

and goodbye to shanna, formerly the "hottest" poster on the bbs.

no, simms will never say anything like that ever.

the real Major's brain must be big as church bells.

how can so many football/nfl types be around football for so long and not realize [ryan leaf] that it really doesn't matter what your physical skills are [arm, size, bloodlines] if you don't have the game in your head?

#11 has so much game in his head it's sick.

I'm in awe of that quote and of Major Applewhite. isn't there some loophole we could exploit to allow him another year of eligibility.

this must be what weeping and gnashing of teeth will be like. . .

My worry is if Simms doesnt' come back, how good is Mock? I think it would be best if Simms turns pro and learns in the nfl. It's obvious he isnt' gonna get much more out of his stint at UT. What a horrible performance last nite. If he didnt' throw his first pick, we win the game 48-17, imo.

If last night didn't prove Simms is a scrub in big games, then I don't know what more he can do.

Anyone who takes Simms in the first round is smoking crack. He's a project at best. Because of his physical tools, he will be drafted and used as a 3rd string QB until he proves himself on the next level.

There will be no Mack holding his hand in the NFL. The NFL is business and after a performance like last night, Simms would have been waived.

    Here's another classic:

"We didn't lose the game," Brown said. "We ran out of time."

    Things just keep getting interesting.

Just when you thought everything was alright.

Just wouldn't be Texas without the controversy.
