Texas lost out on LB Darrin Kirkland Jr. He was one of the december visits to campus. Would have been a good pickup. It'll be interesting to see how the rest of the recruiting season goes.
The Hogs are going to "steamroll" you guys. Too big, too fast, too good. I will be there watching. Hey, it is all in fun; it's sports. I graduated from both UH and TCU. I have ordered a Hog cap and sweatshirt for my trip to the Texas Bowl. A group of us from Eastern Texas go every year and we pick different teams to support so we can get on each other. It is a blast.
Looks like his name is Toby Weathersby. He has offers from A&M, OU and Michigan St. Some good news though: "Cecil Cherry of Lakeland, Fla., flipped his commitment to Texas from Tennessee. He’s the nation’s 11th-ranked inside linebacker." Two down but 1 in.
I am hoping Cherry is the pied piper of sorts for the Florida recruits. Momentum is vital in recruiting, and we could certainly use some right now.
Just a piece of advice on talking trash, you should do it about actual issues like their QB. Size and speed are never an issue at UT or how about that LB Santos, ironically he is slower than my grandmother (speaking about speed not being an issue).
Malik Jefferson announces his decision tomorrow morning. It would be great to replace Jordan Hicks with a solid ILB. Both were very highly touted players in High School. It's between UT, UCLA and A&M. It would be never sad if the Aggies got him with the state of their defense and their lack of a coordinator. We'll see.
Good day for you guys. I've always liked Strong. If he can recruit then it's on. I saw this - https://twitter.com/max_olson/status/545955460998647808 - not sure what to make of it. But if y'all steal Mack...
