Very true - that was also a very real problem at well. Whether it was bad evaluation, bad development, or bad luck, I'm not really sure. Two of those, along with the fact that everyone liked to transfer, all points back to the coaches.
I'm ready for some Swoope Loops. I've been down on Ash since his first season. I never saw what people did in him. In games he always seem to constantly overthrow, until he underthrows on a long pass and intercepted. I'm looking forward to Saturday's game. Hopefully there won't be a drone again, that thing distracted the crap out of me for like 10 minutes.
More house-cleaning. <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>A source close to the situation has told <a href="https://twitter.com/HornsDigest">@HornsDigest</a> starting Texas OTs Desmond Harrison and Kennedy Estelle have been dismissed from team.</p>— Chip Brown (@ChipBrownHD) <a href="https://twitter.com/ChipBrownHD/status/507337668028403712">September 4, 2014</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
Swoopes has thrown surprisingly well but nothing is downfield. I fear that BYU will make adjustments by halftime. Defense has been pretty porous, unfortunately.
Other than a couple of big plays, the Texas defense has dominated. Swoopes hasn't played great but he has shown enough to believe that Watson can develop him. The Mack Brown staff just didn't know how to develop quarterbacks.
Is this the same BYU QB that ran wild last year against the Longhorns? Bad way to start the second half.
