A cease fire won't solve the problem. I'm not sure what is incorrect about that release?

From the day this administration took office, Middle East policy had two foundations:

    1. Invade Iraq
    2. Don't do anything Clinton did, even if it made sense

No surprise that the whole thing is falling down around them... and us.

"Israel claims Iran link to crisis

Hezbollah's capture of two Israeli soldiers last week was timed to divert attention from Tehran's nuclear programme, the Israeli PM has claimed.

Ehud Olmert said that the cross-border raid in which the two soldiers were taken and eight others killed was co-ordinated with Tehran."

There are things Bush hasn't done well, but what Bush has done right:

    1. War on Terror strategy
    2. War on Terror strategy
    3. War on Terror strategy

    That is my affirmation...

Iran helped create Hezbollah and has armed it since its inception. Its hardly off the map to talk about a connection between the two.

Iran deserves to be associated with Hezbollah and the current fight as much as the U.S. is always linked to Israel. Iran supports Hezbollah and the U.S. supports Israel.

I wonder how many people, soldiers and civilian population, have been killed in the Holy Land (Israel, West Bank, Gaza, Lebanon) throughout history?

Considering that he's strived very hard to make us believe that the war (and "peace") of Iraq is part of the "GWOT", is this one of the things you think he has done right?

Given the number of various terrorist groups in Saudi, I'm wondering why hasn't US bombed Saudi yet. Oh, well...

On July 7th, 1937, Japanese troops fired shots to Chinese troops on the Marco Polo Bridge in China, claimed to defend themselves because 2 soliders were kidnapped by Chinese. Of course that was just a poor excuse to start that bloody war, which lasted 8 years long. I don't know the fact, and I am not saying that Isreal is having a similar lie, but that's way more than defending. Hopefully this military action won't last too long.

Israel needs to be punished...it won't happen, but this type of behavior and their history of war crimes, atrocities, terrorism, illegal occupation, etc... is unacceptable...Hopefully one day they will pay for all their sins

Uh, no. The US didn't create Israel. The US doesn't push Israel to attack Lebanon. Iran helped form Hezbollah and encourages their war with Israel. Israel is a state whereas Hezbollah is a subnational terrorist organization. There is little to compare.

Regardless, the point was that connecting Iran and Hezbollah is not spurious but rather fact based.

Whether it is completely factual or not, the Arab world blames the U.S. for Israel's existence and Israel's actions. What is the statement, perception is nine tenths of the law?

No, it's possession in nine tenths of the law, lol. Whatever the Arab world thinks is irrelevant to the above dispute.

Well then Israel wins, because they have the might to hold the land.
