This...Adding Boozer and Dunleavy really just allows the Rockets to operate beyond the cap...and once those contract are off the books, they may still have about the same amount to play with next season.

    OR...

Midseason trade involving our overpaid Parsons, Multiple picks, other non guarantees for Love??(Pipe dream)

Why not give Gasol the 16 million Boozer is making, match Parsons, and call it a day?

As much as I hate him, I agree. He can still play, and he'd be a good fit next to Dwight.

Only reason why I would rather start Boozer is experience and that if he can get the ball, he could be a 18 and 8 nightly guy

There's no way the Rockets take on Boozer. Not sure why people are even suggesting this. If Chicago could've unloaded Boozer at the price they want, it would've already been done to the Sixers or the Jazz.

Trying for 2015 capspace at this point is nearly impossible. In addition to having to decline to match Parsons, they also have to ensure every contract they take on to expirings. No use of MLE, no signing any FA worth a damn, improbable to say the least since the Rockets aren't tanking.

Boozer is better than Terrence Jones right now. He also allows us to be flexible going forward.

Boozer + sweetener (Tony Snell?) makes a lot of sense.

If we get Boozer, Dunleavy, + pick, I'm fine. Then match Parsons.

I'll take Boozer if he will sign a one year extension at the max with only $2 million guaranteed.

Boozer (expiring) + Mirotic and another non-salary asset would be an amazing haul for us. Sets us up perfectly for a play for Love.

He is a massive expiring contract - those are pretty good assets (an expiring got LA Gasol back in the day). Plus he may not be worth what he is making, but he'd still easily be our best PF. And CHI would definetly have to add a sweetener like Mirotic.

Mirotic can't be traded until December, I believe.
And they won't give up Gibson unless they get Melo, which they are not.
