    Look Deb, we are both agreeing to the same premise. The way the world calculates wealth is very outdated. The wealthy and some of the middle class collect their wealth in assets like real estate, equities, bonds, ect ... which completely favors them when it comes to taxes. Wealthy people do not collect "billions of dollars". The government does not view these as billions of dollars either.

    If you're truly passionate about this stuff, then learn about it. Otherwise, stay frustrated and unhappy about the WHOLE outdated system, including every fool that is elected into office.

    The fool is Abbott who is killing us by coddling the billionaires like Musk at our cost.

    In 2020 alone, Texas will pay out $752 million to fund tax breaks granted through the Chapter 313 program. Next year, the comptroller estimates, the deals will cost the state $860 million, and in 2022, just shy of $1 billion.
