Lebrons one of the GOATs. obviously harden has proven hes not on that level in the playoffs. he should have stepped up more but he wasnt a complete no show. rockets just arent that good, they overachieved in the first few games and when the time came they showed who they really are. miles away from GS. if you want to rank it by player with KD out: harden = curry klay>cp3 iguodala>gordon green>tucker looney>capela livingston=rivers they are still the better team. who are we fooling lol like we actually had a competitive team against these guys. worst part is there's no way to improve this team at this point or even keep it from getting worse. all key players are over 30, we have no picks and no cap flexibility. great job front office. get to watch another great product put out next year. lets blow it up, start early.
Bottom line is we can talk about talent and who has more or less all day long. The rockets just beat them 2 times in a row with kd. They should be more than capable of beating them without their best player. It’s just that simple.
To be fair the OP said he’s not “the” issue. Not that he’s not “an” issue. The issue is our coach isn’t good enough.
LAst year was our best shot at winning a championship. That was the last time we'll ever see CP3 look like Hall of Fame CP3. That's it. He's washed from this point on. He'll still have his moments to be sure but that's all they will be, moments. We were never going to win this year, even if we sneaked past the Warriors (which would have felt good) the Bucks or Raptors wipe the floor with us, easy. It is what it is. All we can hope for now is for Morey to pull off some magic but I wouldn't count on that. I think we need to get what we can for Gordon and Capela, they are our most tradeable players.
He did alright in the utah seires. The problem is that the splash brothers aare insanely good, and nobody can stop them. Harden starts to get intimatdiated, if paul geroge or some big star was next to him, he would have that extra robin to do good. I dont think chris paul ir the right weapon, and now is to late for rockets to get that extra star.
Harden has no killer instinct. Dude turned the ball over during two of the most critical possessions of the game. He isn’t even the same tier of player as Curry.
Well when Durant and westbrook was on the team in okc, he was just a 6th man. I know hes open up his game, and became totally different player since then, but just saying.
