LOL, not really. They picked up arguably the best safety in FA and one of the better CB prospects along with a massive upgrade at guard.
Idk about massive upgrade, unless we’re talking about how putrid XSF is then I can see it. Secondary got better that’s for sure. Hopefully the focus is on OLine and TE improvement.
Still don't have proven starting quality tackles. Not even average level. The defense will be fun to watch.
When I say "massive upgrade", this is the guy we got to play guard I'm pretty sure XSF's number was in the 30's....also Fulton gave up 1 QB hit and only 11 hurries (no sacks), XSF had already given up 4 sacks by week 5
Well yeah, but look to the right. Fulton is on there, if there was one focused on him I'd have posted that one.
That's an elite group of guards he's with. Hoping our FO did their homework and got a bargain on an ascending player. Could be a homerun free agency if so.
It is true that the Texans improved their OL in FA, but still probably rank in the 20-25 range OL's. Which may be good enough with a healthy Watson.
That’s encouraging. And that 30’s figure you gave to XSF is very generous. I know on PPF anything in the 30’s is poor but XSF might’ve been one of the worst offensive lineman I’ve ever seen.
XSF boosted his score by being occasionally decent when it comes to run blocking but his pass blocking was always a crime against humanity.
Seriously. Texans exceeded my expectations in free agency. Only my unrealistic greed demands more. Problems in secondary were upgraded significantly....perhaps beyond realistic expectations for a franchise that missed the playoffs and lacks the tradition of more established franchises. Would I have liked to see more?...sure, but anything more would’ve been a bonus.
I would still LOVE to see E.J. Gaines get picked up here, but realistically that won't happen and that's okay too.
I mean I hear you guys, and won't be shocked if we are more or less done with free agency, but the facts are there are some quality players left out there, and we have a lot more cap room than most teams. I don't necessarily subscribe to the believe that we're no longer shopping around.
I think the offense still has a lot of holes left: -two starting tackles -TE -RB (I don't expect much from Foreman after torn Achilles) -backup QB

Luke Willson would be a solid addition at TE IMO. Jamaal Charles didn't look bad with Denver last year either and stayed healthy. Both would love to return to the Houston area I'm sure. As far as backup QB, there's not much to see from that group. I think I'd go with the familiarity and cheapest and bring back Weeden or Yates.
