Waiting for Mathieu to get cut. I want them to offer a 6th or 7th for him right now.

He did not want to be in Houston in 2013, not sure that has changed.

Multiple people reported he skipped the pre draft meeting with the Texans. Knew Honey Badger in college, probably a much different guy now but only thing that scares me about him is he seems to be injury prone. If his health checks out I'd be all for it

Thats right. I remember him testing positive for weed during the draft and no one wanted anything to do with him. With the mcnairs, Im pretty sure they told his agent they wanted no part of him.

Injuries are a concern but man can he hawk a field. We havent had that since ever. Would help our corners and improve the secondary so much when healthy.

I would be all for getting two pro bowl years out of Peters and then trading him for a two and a four, rather than picking a lesser talented player.

So you knew Peters was a Pro Bowler and that Johnson would have so many injuries... back in April 2015?

Because Mike Mayock had Johnson higher. I loved Johnson. He had one of the prettiest backpedal/hip flips I'd seen. But it hasn't worked out so far.

He told me it was too close to "playgrounds and playmates" he didn't need to be around.

I’d flip out if this happened then when signed Malcolm Butler/Trumaine Johnson

After reviewing tape that year, my son was a big fan of Peters and was very disappointed we didn't draft him. He predicted Peters would be a beast. At the time, Peters was a bit of a wildcard, while Johnson was more stable... so I was a bit indifferent. It probably won't go down as taking Bennie Joppru over Jason Witten bad, but Johnson has been a major disappointment.

Peters was definitely the choice I had as well. That bad boy style won me over. Trouble that he got into assured me that the Texans weren’t going to draft him. I’ll continue to say this, Texans don’t like guys bad guys. They want the ones that are extremely nice and you need guys with mean streaks.

I could see that. Houston has a large lsu presence and Louisiana is a short drive, throw that in with him coming up positive on peepee tests, I can see that mentality. Means he was serious about being a profeasional and has been throughout his young career, but if he can survive Scottsdale Arizona without getting in trouble, he can def do it here.
