Other than the game where Giles was obviously not prepared, he has been good for a long time. He isn't Kimbrel or Jansen like some thought he would be when we dealt for him; but overall he has done a really good job this season.
I'll be there tomorrow with some clients from Kent, right outside of Seattle. I'll also be there Sunday with my brother to see Verlander own b****es.
I'm not sure what gives me more pleasure...an Astro win or reading the game thread during/after an Astro win.
I don't want to clinch tomorrow. No julia getting drenched in the club house. also did anyone catch springer with that sick Paris st Germaine kit. Cool stories. Ehh. I guess morton pitched well
I'd like for Astros and Angels to win tmrw (assuming Angels win tonight) so Verlander can clinch the title for his new team in a complete game shutout.
He most certainly was not overused this year, the first half he only had 32 outings which is a fairly soft schedule for a reliever. If a reliever stays healthy he should be able to make 65-70 appearances in an average year. His arm just doesn't seem to be capable of going a whole season out of the bullpen with a normal workload, The second half falloff is a clear trend at this point. We need to give him a very soft workload next season, or maybe mothball him altogether at the start.
I go from being 2 rows behind the dugout to one of the last 5 rows in 407. When they hand you an oxygen mask with your ticket, you know you're in trouble.
