Astros have 5 wins and 6 losses since taking a 2-0 lead on the Yankees. A 6-6 record over the final 12 games would get us a championship

So JV said he felt strong and could've kept pitching. If Hinch bunts with him in the 7th we might've tied the game as Springer singled and Bregman flied out after Gattis' AB. Then JV is in a 2-2 game. Awful decision by AJ.

Verlander and historic offense, we should've easily won tonight.

McCullers-Morton, we can easily win tomorrow.

You never know if someone else would hit a homerun if Verlander had stayed in to make it 3-2.

Pretty amazing ride so far. Glad I'm rooting for a team that is part of it!

Reddck is horrible. Probably the worst player in the series at the moment. Turner has been poor too.

JV was filthy tonight. I'd like my chances better than what played out. I don't understand why you pull him there if he says he's good to go when you had he ability to let him bunt Reddick to 2nd. As it played out Gattis grounded out. Had the runner been moved to 2nd there is a good chance Springer drives him in. Springer did single that inning. Makes me sick knowing JV was good to pitch.

I would have liked to see maybin there to steal a base. Then bunt. But too late now. You are about to experience some awe in nature, you are about to experience the outer limits. Tomorrow, it’s gonna be fun. Plus we get tacos.

    Sigh...
This thing felt destined for 7.

Mercifully for us and Dodger fans this thing will end tomorrow. It's gonna be a relief one way or the other.

    ifs ands buts.

I agree that we will never know what would've happened. Perhaps jv bunts and we advance the runner leading to a score eventually.

We only know that what happened didn't work. I don't fault Hinch's mindset there. He took a gamble on his hitting offense. That's been the identity of our team all year.

Hinch rolled the dice on his offense and got snake eyes. Imagine if Gattis woulda gotten on base a with a runner on and the top of the lineup coming. Hindsight is 20/20. He rolled the dice wrong but I don't blame him for gambling on putting together a big inning.

He would've looked really smart there if Gattis got on base and advanced Reddick before Springer came in for that hit. I think Hinch thought that it might be one of our best chances to put together a big inning.

Even with Gattis getting out we had fisher on 3rd with Altuve at the plate. We were terrible with RISP.

Dodgers fans booed Roberts for removing hill again. Imagine how livid they would be if we lit up morrow again. He bet on his bullpen though.

Second guessing is inevitable here. I don't fault hinch trusting the ability for this team to get a big inning.

All bets are off. If he's needed for an inning, he'll throw an inning. Who knows?

Darvish is 1-2 with 4.84ERA at Dodger Stadium. Lance has not been good on the road. Key will be who has an effective breaking ball. If Yu’s slider is sharp then it may be a long night.

Discussed this earlier with the guys: none of us could handle a best of nine.
