We should feel good about a lineup that has struggled against LHP past 3 seasons, and regressed in the postseason their entire careers. Okay, I will un-backwards my backwards thought process
By "struggled against LHP past 3 seasons," did you mean we were actually one of the top offenses against LHP? Check out the data in the link below. Facts are tricky little fellas. https://www.crawfishboxes.com/2017/10/5/16427778/astros-offense-vs-lefthanded-pitching-in-alds
A coworker just read somewhere that the game will be aired on 790 via I ♥ Radio. Rather have a watch link though, about to scour reddit.

Lefthanders have already been covered. The meat of our lineup has very little postseason history for me to even make a judgement on. “Entire careers” is less than a handful of games. The Astros have the best offense in baseball. Of course anything can happen over the course of this series but it’s not because we should be worried about them, it’s because that’s the nature of this sport. The Astros have a distinctly superior offense to the Redsox, doesn’t mean they will for the next week. The bullpen is a legitimate concern but they could also completely dominate this post season.

Thanks for introducing this now. Checking the everyday players' stats, only Beltran, Springer, and Marwin fall off noticeably vs LHP. Bregman and Correa increase noticeably. Let's see if guys exorcise their previous postseason demons.
I hope the historically good offense that we saw in the regular season becomes only "very above average" during the playoffs. I know playoffs are an entirely different animal, but I am ready to enjoy the show. And I respectfully think that you might be doing a disservice trying to pull any conclusions from our 2015 playoff experience. That was a really young core, and their first experience in October. My memory is being impressed with how they did on their first big stage anyway. But either way, I don't think any conclusions based on that would be fair to our home team. In any case, I hope you enjoy the playoffs, and Go Astros!!!
I've got a slow work day so am heading to a die hard Boston Red Sox fan's house to watch the game.. I'm expecting to leave a sad house.
No judgement is necessary, just stating facts about history. The lineup consists of more than "the meat". The veterans have struggled in the postseason too. Doesn't mean they will this time, just stating what history has shown.
