Anyone have any good undrafted FAs we should bring into camp? Personally, I think we ought to bring in David Lighty from OSU. He is a defensive stud, can play several positions and is a good glue guy for back end of bench. Who do you think we should look at?
Gary Mcghee From the Rox' own site: Getting Donatas and MM is great but I really feel like we need to get someone who can just sit in the lane and bother people. If Marcus Cousins isn't going to give us anything might as well get this guy, seems like the classic low post blue collar banger.
Greg Smith Center from Fresno State. 6'10 with 35 inch vertical and Otis Thorpe type massive hands. He didn't get drafted because of an up and down motor. Said all the right things as far as fixing his motor leading up to the draft.
Gary Johnson (UT)? I don't know much about him. I just know he was expected to play in the NBA when I was in high school (Aldine), and he was pretty dominant. I don't keep up with college ball though
Given that Houston has the pretty much the least amount of available roster spots among all the teams out there, if I were a rookie FA and had offers from other teams, I'd go for pretty much any of these teams first. Rockets might sign a couple of guys for the Vipers and that's about it.
