    Would I have any trouble getting into this school w/ a 4.0 GPA and a 30 on the ACT

    Is this a serious question? With those grades you could get into pretty much any school.

    Dude with the credentials like that why the hell wouldn't you go to Rice U. for the love of God???????????

    U of H sucks and its in the worst part of town. EVERYONE commutes to school, and like I said before it sucks. By going to U of H you are actually degrading your ability to get a job.

    On the terms of getting in....... Hell they would probably take a high school thug with a 1.8 GPA and a 5 on the ACT......

    Go to Rice man..... the chicks are a lot hotter their and you might actually learn something. Plus you will have a degree with CREDENTIALS....

    UH is not a great school.

    I really don't know why you would want to go there. I cheer for their athletics as the hometown school, but education-wise it's not that good.

    It's located in a pretty depressing part of town too.

    St. Thomas would be a good school to go to, if you can't make it to Rice.

    if your school does their GPA scale based on 4 points for an A I would definatly look at Rice

    UH sucks because of their inability to accomodate their students -- the education here actually is probably the best bang for your buck in Texas.

    Also, Scott street may not be the ritziest part of town, but we're a stown's throw away from the village area and the Galleria -- AND downtown, all wonderful places to get out and have a good time.

    They do offer 1 or 2 classes that a 5.0=A but usually it is A=4.0 :) :D :cool:
