College football is the minor leagues for the NFL i.e. the 2nd best league in the world College Basketball is on par with some of the professional leagues but not as good as the top few in Europe so it is basically just a lesser form of basketball College Baseball is so far down in quality not only due to other global leagues but also the fact top senior's in high school go straight to the minor leagues after being drafted but still I enjoy baseball and Go Coogs!
only the absolute studs go straight from high school to the minors. Really only top 10 round talent, so there's a lot of high quality talent left to play college baseball. And a lot of talent doesn't really develop until you get to college, in some cases. In case everybody is wondering, yes, my secretary (UH grad) did bring this game up to me this morning. She'll be working extra today, thanks to that.
lol @secretary comment. Baseball is a global game not to the extent of basketball but still the talent in NCAA baseball is just ok. Still support Rice if they are not playing UH and no bragging here I have sat through 15 years of my Coogs being dominated
This is arguably the best team in the nation. No. 10 ranking and their pitching ranks No. 1 in the nation. #EatEmUp
now that's a blast from the past. Ryan Wagner. Yeah, 10th ranked in the nation baby!!! Let's beat the Aggies on Tuesday!
"Kyle Survance had three RBIs, and four pictures combined on a three-hitter to lead eighth-ranked UH to a 7-1 victory at Cougar Field. UH lowered its team ERA to 1.76, which ranks second nationally. UH hosts 13th-ranked Louisville in a key American Athletic Conference series beginning Friday night at Cougar Field." Go Coogs!
I know Houston lost yesterday (4-2) to Louisville, but I have faith in the Coogs to win the next two games to take the series and stay above Louisville in the rankings. http://www.uhcougars.com/sports/m-basebl/spec-rel/040914aag.html
Louisville sweeps Houston over the weekend. Jared West pitched Sunday, and got knocked around pretty good. ip. h. r. er. bb. so. 4.1 4 5 1 3 3
