Jonathan Feigan won't even mention it. Too busy writing puff pieces on how Howard is really feeling good these days.
That BS had my blood boiling. I had to switch over to ROOT and their crappy broadcast. We're getting jobbed by the mavs dirty tactics.
A close fist punch shouldn't need to make contact to warrant a suspension. It shouldn't matter if you make contact... just the act of throwing one at somebody should get you suspended. You would get a red card in soccer for throwing a punch at someone even if it misses.. thats for certain.
I really don't care. Hopefully he thinks he can get away with it in Game 5 and gets thrown out on National TV.
The official stared directly at Harden's kick on LeBron in the Cleveland game and then reviewed it from all angles afterward. That ref concluded it wasn't intentional, and thus didn't throw Harden out... only to have the league office rule otherwise the next day and suspend him. From a practical standpoint, Dave is spot on -- I don't expect Chandler to get suspended because there's not enough of a buzz factor. And the only reason the Harden suspension happened was because LeBron blew it up into a huge deal by having a postgame temper-tantrum. But by my book, that is a punch, and there is precedent for the league suspending a player after the on-court officials deemed his actions not worthy of ejection.
If J.R. Smith gets a suspension from his close fisted punch, Tyson should also get one for his. Where the blow landed or what the outcome of the blow was really doesn't matter. Both were closed fisted swings.
Agreed. With the amount of contact that's going on between the two, this sort of thing is to be expected. It's playoff basketball.
For those of you that don't care of think it matters or not if he gets suspended, did you not see what happened to K. Love and J. Crowder, or even M. Conley? These things can change an entire series and your teams chances in the entire post season. We are striving to win a championship, not just this series. They are clearly trying to bait and/or hurt Dwight now. If nothing is done, and Dwight gets hurt or suspended for defending himself, what will you say then? What Dwight did was clearly trying to free himself to head back down court after Tyson was clearly HOOKING him...that's not a dirty play from Dwight, but rather a normal NBA type play for a player trying to free themselves from a HOOK. What Tyson did was bush whack, illegal and non sportsman like. HE DEFINITELY DESERVES A SUSPENSION AND SHOULD GET ONE!
I'm getting really tired of the Mavs' dirty tactics since going down 0-2. Complaining about reffing, flopping, taking cheap shots, etc. F these clowns. They've made a decision to play dirty once they realized they couldn't beat us playing a clean game. Only team resorting to this crap these playoffs that i've noticed.
Meh nothings going to happen. I found Harris's tackle of Dwight worse only because when your go-to defensive move is to dive in front of driving players, acting hard is silly. Dwight had a smirk after that and rightly so.
The Mavs are more and more adopting the dirty play while at the same time whine about anything that happens to them attitude that made the Jazz such a hated team.
