They've traded for Holiday. Maybe the plan is to move Gordon later this summer. In which case Tyreke is a SG. This offseason is light on free agent wings and heavy on teams with cap space in need of wings. It could be possible to move Gordon at a solid price.

Because teams like Sacramento and New Orleans can never have enough guards! Guards galore! Gotta have one guard for Rivers, in case he doesn't pan out Gotta have another guard for Gordon, when he inevitably gets injured And we had Vasquez, so we went to go get Jrue. Now we want Evans!
Obviously guards pan out more often than any other position! Look how many talented PGs and...... well PGs there are compared to SF, PF, and Cs.
The new CBA hasn't done ****. When will these teams learn? How much time and money will it take? I swear the Hornets are trying to become the Sacramento Kings.
well, a couple of things to look at here. would you be shocked to know tyreke is only 23? would you be shocked to know that last year his shooting % improved to .478 and .338, both are easily his best numbers of his 4 year career. would you be shocked to know that he had a per of 18.16 last year playing 31 minutes a game. I think that teams are just realizing that tyreke's potential is trending upwards, so I don't think the deal is actually that crazy. Tyreke has always been a physical beast, but when he combines that with smart playing, that gets you an 11 million dollar contract.
Evans, I think, can be a FANTASTIC 6th man in the right situation. This isn't the right situation and it is also very dumb :/
Pelicans officially are a mess. On a side note and somebody might have mentioned this elsewhere, but if Evans leaves, the Kings potentially could become a Lin suitor. He'd fit well next to McLemore & Thornton and though I like Isaiah Thomas, a starting PG he is not. Lin would give the Kings some media attention and might stabilize their locker room some. Obviously has potential as a player, too. Kings could easily absorb Lin without sending any salary back.
