Phisically Tyreke has longer wingspan but he's shorter in height with less vertical. Both excelled in scoring/rebounding/steals and their freshman number in those categories are almost the same. Year League Team GP Min Pts Reb Asts Stls TOs Tyreke 2008/09 NCAA Memphis 37 29.0 17.1 5.4 3.9 2.1 3.6 Wroten 2011/12 NCAA Washington 35 30.3 16.0 5.0 3.7 1.9 3.8 Both are ball dominant players and can get to the rim drawing fouls at high rate. They also share the high TO rate because they are not the 'true' PG's. Wroten has trouble going right. However, he does have a few advantages: 1) He's younger than Tyreke as a rookie when their rookie season starts(19 vs 20). 2) He's more explosive and relentless attacking the basket(7.5 vs 5.2 FTA). 3) Tyreke has 'proven' he can't improve his shooting(25%, 29%, 20% 3pt shooting last three years) and assisting(never achieved 2:1 assist/to ratio in last 3 years or even show noticeable improvement there). Wroten still has the 'potential' to improve. 4) Currently projected as late first rounder(#30 on draftexpress), Wroten will probably cost less to acquire(or we can trade down), and his salary will be a fraction of Tyreke's. We can draft Wroten in late first or early second, but shouldn't touch Tyreke let alone using any asset to acquire him.
